Vaccines save lives

For 25 years, the Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance thanks to U.S. support has helped save millions of lives, cutting child mortality in half and helping 19 countries transition to self-sufficiency. But reports suggest the U.S. may withdraw vaccine funding—putting all of this at risk.

Without continued funding, 75 million children could miss vaccinations over the next five years, and over 1.2 million children may die from preventable diseases.

Diseases like polio, measles, HPV, Ebola won’t stay contained—they spread across borders and put us all at risk. What starts in one part of the world can quickly affect everyone.

Investing in vaccine programmes is one of the smartest investments we can make, for every $1 spent on vaccines, there’s a $54 return on investment, helping to create healthier more prosperous societies.

We can’t afford to undo decades of progress. We need to keep our commitment to global health, protect the vulnerable, and safeguard national and global security.
